In Jan. 2001 he resign from his membership in the Union of Freedom, where he was a member of the £ód¼ Regional Council from 1997 to 2001 .
From Feb. to May 2001 he was the local plenipotentiary of the Civic Platform for the Polesie District in
£ód¼.
He resigned due the decision to take part in the CP primaries and,
subsequently, run for Parliament later the same year.
He was a member of the Karolew - Retkinia East Unitary Council from 2000 to 2002 .
From November 2006 to December 2007 he was Vice Chairman of the £ód¼ City Council
